Hannah Samoy is a Filipino-American artist based in Milwaukee. Her work examines the impact of colonization and migration on identity and notions of belonging. Playing with the language of documentary photography, her current projects express a longing for family reunions while recording hobbies, practices, and beliefs that are shared, altered, or lost across generations and diasporic spaces.
